Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC) an initiative of Vidya International Charitable Trust conducted a personal interview on 16 August 2022 for the five toppers in the Vidya Science Scholarship exam. They were selected from the online exam “Vidya Science Talent Test” conducted for students from eight standard hailing from Thrissur district. The Interview panel included Mr P N Unnirajan IPS (Retd.) (Director,VSEC), Dr Siju K C (Head of VSEC and Asst Prof, AS Dept), VSEC Scholarship Faculty member Coordinators Ms Roshni Vijay (Asst Prof, CE Dept), Ms Surabhi M S (Assistant Librarian) and VSEC Student Volunteer Aswin V P (S4, ME Dept). They were Supported by the VSEC Scholarship Team members Akhila M (S4, ECE Dept) and Sreya M S (S2 ECE Dept).

The Interview began at 11 am which initiated with the students introducing themselves and answering to general queries on their interested subjects, ambitions and hobbies. The students performed innocently in a remarkable manner. A separate file is maintained for each of these students which maintains the required data as per the scholarship criteria. Later their parents joined them and in their presence they were informed about the scholarship amount of Rs 5000/- which would be given yearly for five consecutive years upto twelfth standard. They were also given awareness about the criteria of the VSEC scholarship which has to be maintained in the forthcoming years.
