VSEC Student Volunteer exhibits her capacity as Resource Person

Vidya Social empowerment Center (VSEC) always tries to bring out the best version of the students by providing them the best platform to showcase their talents .

With this aim VSEC organised an internal talk on “Dopehead Identification” on 29 October 2022.The session was handled by Sreelakshmi S (S5, ECE Dept).

The anchoring was done by Sinan Sulaiman (S3, ME Dept).The program started with a prayer by Vedika M (S3, CSE Dept) followed by an introduction about VSEC by Sangamesh(S3, ECE Dept) and introduction about the resource person by Mohamed Hashim (S3, ME Dept)

VSEC Student Volunteers showcase their talents as Resource Persons

Vidya provides every possible opportunity for the students to use their classroom learning for expressing creative ideas. Vidya also involves the students in the programs not as spectators but as contributors by showcasing their talents being Resource Persons.

With this motto, Vidya Social empowerment Center (VSEC) organized an internal talk on “Sustainability and Energy Conservation” on 2nd July 2022. VSEC Student Volunteers, Mr. Sakthi S (S4 ECE Dept), Mr. Jesto K J (S4 ECE Dept), and Mr Sanjo P Rejin (S4 ECE Dept) showcased their capabilities as resource persons during the session. VSEC Student Volunteers attended the program. This session marks the beginning of developing and exhibiting the talent of being a resource person.

VSEC conducts Training Program ‘Training of Trainers’

Vidya Social Empowerment Center ( VSEC), is an initiative to implement the social empowerment activities to empower the essential pillars of the society namely parents, children, youth and teachers. These essential pillars are categorised under VSEC as four wings namely Training, Moulding, Budding and Blooming. VSEC extends support to bolster self-confidence and self-responsibility to ensure a socially committed sustainable living by conducting training, awareness and motivational programmes in relevant topics.

Workshop on “Mentoring the Mentors” for school teachers

Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC) organized a workshop on “Mentoring the Mentors” on 21 May 2022 in Advanced Computer Lab of the College. The resource person for the programme was Dr Seena Devaki, consultant psychiatrist, based in UK.

Training for student volunteers of Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC)

Vidya Social Empowerment Centre (VSEC) is an initiative of Vidya International Charitable Trust (VICT) to serve as an umbrella body to coordinate the activities and to provide direction for the further strengthening of several social outreach programmes of VICT. The VSEC organised a three-day training programme for the student volunteers of the Centre during 20 – 22 May 2021. The members of Sameeksha, the Vidya Trainers Club, served as the resource persons for the training programme.

Vidya Social Empowerment Center organises webinar on National Education Policy 2020

Vidya Social Empowerment Center, a unit of Vidya International Charitable Trust, organised a webinar on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 on 11 January 2021 at 1.30 pm. There were 135 registrations for participation in the webinar of which a majority were school teachers.  Around 120 participants attended the webinar presented by Ms Akhila R (AP, EEE Dept) and Mr Alex C Chacko (AP, ME Dept).  Er P K Asokan ,Chief Patron, VICT, inaugurated the webinar. Principal Dr Saji C B gave an insight into the NEP 2020, Dr Siju K C, Head of VSEC, welcomed the gathering and Dr Vineetha C P, Associate of VSEC, proposed the vote of thanks.
