VSEC Student Volunteers extend support for conducting a session to School Students

Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC) aims to create potential youngsters who will be the change in tomorrow’s society.

As a part of the VSEC’s initiative to empower school students to become better citizens, a session on “Non-verbal Communication” was held on 12 November 2022 at Thirumangalam UP School, Engandiyur. The resource person was Ms. Divya Radhakrishnan, Associate Finance and Administration, VICT. The Student Volunteers Sinan Sulaiman (S3 ME Dept) and Midhun Joshy (S3 EEE Dept) also helped in the smooth conduct of the session along with conducting 2 activities to keep the students engaged.

Vidya Social empowerment Center (VSEC) always tries to bring out the best version of the students by providing them the best platform to showcase their talents .

With this aim VSEC organised an internal talk on “Dopehead Identification” on 29 October 2022.The session was handled by Sreelakshmi S (S5, ECE Dept).

The anchoring was done by Sinan Sulaiman (S3, ME Dept).The program started with a prayer by Vedika M (S3, CSE Dept) followed by an introduction about VSEC by Sangamesh(S3, ECE Dept) and introduction about the resource person by Mohamed Hashim (S3, ME Dept)

Grama Panchayat Visit by VSEC Student Volunteers

Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC) Student Volunteers are presently doing the Students Internship Program on “Sustainable Development and Energy Conservation” under the Guidance of Dr Vimal Kumar T V (Co-ordinator, Energy Management Centre, Govt. of Kerala). Among the 26 student volunteers of  VSEC,  21 students forming four groups visited 4 Grama panchayats namely Kolazhy, Velur, Kaiparambu and Adat for a brief interview with the Panchayat Presidents on 17 September 2022.  Four teams of 5 members each, visited the respective panchayats. The final team Group 5 visited Mulankunnathukavu Panchayat on 24  September 2022.

As part of Students’ Internship Program on “Sustainable development and Energy Conservation” under the Guidance of Dr Vimal Kumar T V (Co-ordinator, Energy Management Centre, Govt. of Kerala),  26 students volunteers of Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC) from Vidya  visited 4 Grama panchayats namely Kolazhy, Velur, Kaiparambu and Adat for a brief interview with the panchayat Presidents on 17 September 2022.  Four teams of 5 members each, visited the respective panchayats. One team has planned the visit on 24 September 2022.

VSEC conducts Vidya Science Talent Test for School Students

Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC) an initiative of Vidya International Charitable Trust conducted the Scholarship exam ‘Vidya Science Talent Test’ on 29 July 2022 for students from eight standard hailing from Thrissur district. The examination was conducted online between 7.30 and 8 pm. The Vidya Science Scholarship program aims to support students of eighth standard students with scholarship amount for five years.

VSEC conducts Personal Interview with the toppers of Vidya Science Talent Test

Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC) an initiative of Vidya International Charitable Trust conducted a personal interview on 16 August 2022 for the five toppers in the Vidya Science Scholarship exam. They were selected from the online exam “Vidya Science Talent Test”  conducted  for students from eight standard hailing from Thrissur district. The Interview panel included Mr P N Unnirajan IPS (Retd.) (Director,VSEC), Dr Siju K C (Head of VSEC and Asst  Prof, AS Dept),  VSEC Scholarship Faculty member Coordinators Ms Roshni Vijay (Asst  Prof, CE Dept),  Ms Surabhi M S (Assistant Librarian) and VSEC Student Volunteer Aswin V P (S4, ME Dept). They were Supported by the VSEC Scholarship Team members Akhila M (S4, ECE Dept) and Sreya M S (S2 ECE Dept).

Vidya serves as a keystone for shaping the students to unlock their hidden talents and insightful learning and thereby providing a luminous forum for them. Vidya Social Empowerment Center ( VSEC), is an initiative of  VICT to implement the social empowerment activities to empower the essential pillars of the society.

VSEC Student Volunteers showcase their talents as Resource Persons

Vidya provides every possible opportunity for the students to use their classroom learning for expressing creative ideas. Vidya also involves the students in the programs not as spectators but as contributors by showcasing their talents being Resource Persons.

With this motto, Vidya Social empowerment Center (VSEC) organized an internal talk on “Sustainability and Energy Conservation” on 2nd July 2022. VSEC Student Volunteers, Mr. Sakthi S (S4 ECE Dept), Mr. Jesto K J (S4 ECE Dept), and Mr Sanjo P Rejin (S4 ECE Dept) showcased their capabilities as resource persons during the session. VSEC Student Volunteers attended the program. This session marks the beginning of developing and exhibiting the talent of being a resource person.
