Vidya enables the upliftment and transformation of a society by empowering younger minds to take hold of their circumstances and serving as a pillar to overcome the barrier of practical experiences. With this aim in mind, Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC) – an initiative of Vidya International Charitable Trust (VICT), conducted a vocational awareness program as part of their Brhma-Vidya Outreach Program to the school students of GHS Thayyur on 12 September 2023.The session was held with the help of IEEE Smart Village (ISV)
Ms Surabhi M S (Asst. Librarian, VSEC Member) made the opening remarks. Dr Sudha Balagopalan (Dean Academics & Lead – Vocational Awareness, ISV South Asia WG) who herself is a source of motivation to students gave encouraging examples from her own experience and described the activities of ISV and inspired students to be a self-motivator. VSEC volunteers Akhila M (S7, ECE Dept), Anjana Krishna C R (S3, EEE Dept) and Fredisha K Francis (S3, EEE Dept) engaged the students with hands-on session using SNAP CIRCUIT kits.
More than 80 students attended this program. The students were given away keen interest in solving the snap circuit. At last students shared their valuable feedbacks. Overall this programme helped each and every participants to understand the various newly rising and technical prospects.
